Every numberhas a trail.Follow one.
A figure is only as good as your ability to check it. Below is one total from the sample report, walked back to the file it came from. Further down: the safeguards behind every figure.

Safeguards
What’s in place.Built and working today.
- A fingerprint for every uploaded fileIts SHA-256 checksum is stored with the readings, so the file can be matched later.
- A fingerprint for every reportEach report version stores a hash of its contents.
- Every upload keptA corrected file is added, never written over. Each run names the files it used, and the original can be downloaded.
- An audit log that shows tamperingEvery change is recorded with who and when, each entry chained to the one before, so an edited or missing entry shows up when the log is checked.
- Approval by a named personA report version is signed off by the approver it was sent to, then locked. A change makes a new version; the old one stays.
- Quality labels on every readingMeasured, manual, estimated or gap-filled, carried into the report.
- A method version on every runAnd a run stops rather than guess when a factor is missing.
- Your data kept apart from everyone else’sEnforced in the database itself, row by row, for every organisation.
How we label reports
We say what a report is. Nothing more.
Every report today
“Self-reported, method documented”
The figures come from your readings and our published method. Nobody independent has checked them yet, and the report says so on its cover.
That label changes only when an independent reviewer has checked our method. The reviewer will be named and dated here, and on every report it covers. We won’t use words like “certified” or “audited” before then.
