Accessibility
Usable by everyonewho needs it.
- What we aim for
- Snowleaf should work for everyone who needs it, including people using a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or high-contrast settings. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
- What we do
- Controls are built to be reached and used with a keyboard, and to show where the focus is. Form fields are labelled, icons that act as buttons have names, and messages such as “saved” are announced. Animation is switched off when your system asks for reduced motion. Colours are chosen to keep text readable against its background, in light and dark themes.
- What we haven’t checked yet
- No independent audit has been done yet, and we haven’t yet tested every screen with each screen reader. PDF reports and charts are the parts most likely to fall short. A run’s figures can always be downloaded as CSV instead of read from a chart, but the PDFs aren’t yet tagged for screen readers.
- Tell us
- If anything in Snowleaf gets in your way, email hello@snowleaf.xyz with what you were trying to do. We’ll reply within two working days, and get you the information another way while we fix it.
